Q: We purchased two Lil’ Annie hydrangeas In June and planted them as per the instructions. The leaves are turning brown/black and it is wilted. My husband thinks bugs are bothering it and that we should put Sevin on it. It is on the west side of the house. Justine - Albia
A: Spray your hydrangeas with Sevin. Also fertilize them with hydrangea fertilizer. Make sure they are not sitting in water after a rain. I would also suggest moving them to the east side of your home if possible. It might be getting too much sun. Mulch it well.
